Pacific NW REEF Experience Levels

REEF classifies their volunteer surveyors into 5 levels. You can move up from one level to the next by taking a quiz/test and submitting a certain number of surveys. You will need to know common name and family or phylum for each species.

Contact your nearest Field Station to arrange for a test.

1	fog a mirror	N/A	0	All new REEF members
2	20 Most Common Fish or Invertebrates	80%	2	Those taking a full course usually attain this level. Fish or Invertebrates on separate tests
3	90 Most Common Fish AND Invertebrates	80%	25	Fish and Invertebrates combined onto one test
4	100 Advanced Fishes and Invertebrates	90%	35	Fish and Invertebrates combined onto one test
5	100 Advanced Fishes and Invertebrates	95%	50	Fish and Invertebrates combined onto one test

Yellow are NOVICE levels

Blue are EXPERT levels

Members that achieve Expert Status are extended an invitation to REEF's Advanced Assessment Team (AAT)
