You like Rockfish? Why didn't you say so? WDFW is creating a Puget Sound Rockfish Conservation Plan - and the deadline for submitting comments has been extended to Monday, January 4th, 2010. The full plan is found here, or you can read the 2 page summary that the SeaDoc Society has posted here. This plan has a variety of options: artificial reefs, hatchery production, no-take zones (MPAs), education and outreach, citizen monitoring, etc. and has created a lot of buzz amongst sport fishing and conservation groups alike. Tell them what YOU think, as a diver and citizen scientist. Submit comments to: SEPAdesk2@dfw.wa.gov Play Guess That Critter! That's right folks, step right up and test your knowledge of those blobby underwater creatures by viewing this month's Critter of the Month. Thanks Todd! 2010 Fish and Invert ID Classes Thanks to a grant from the Sustainable Path Foundation, we're able to offer THREE more classes in 2010. Woo Hoo!
