Diving in Space

SeaDoc Society supporter Kerry won a 'virtual dive' at SeaDoc's annual auction.
Joe Gaydos, Nick Brown and Apollo 8 astronaut William Anders dove off Bell Island, while Joe operated a video camera underwater, sending the colorful scenes up through a live feed topside to the Anders' boat "Apogee", where Kerry and friends were able to view what it's like to dive in the beautiful San Juan Islands. I performed the duties as the topside naturalist, explaining to the guests what was being shown on the video screen.
