Rob and Amanda Zielinski

  • Getting to Hornby Island is a two-ferry affair. First you go to Denman Island, and then drive across the island to another ferry landing that goes to Hornby island.
  • High schoolers have a 2 hour each way commute. Ride bus from school to ferry landing on Vancouver Island. Ride ferry to Denman island. Take another schoolbus to the Hornby Island ferry landing. Ride ferry to Hornby. Get on another bus and get dropped off at home. Long day for the kids!

  • The driveway is lined with all sorts of things they've found underwater. We found a shears sheath, which was great, because we had lost one! Amanda let us take it. :)
