The Quest for the Monkeyface Prickleback

The parking lot can be completely flooded! You can see the water line - and this was about an hour after I dove the site. The cute Monkeyface Pricklebacks are in only about 15 feet of water. The current and back eddy from the water rushing under the bridge can be quite strong. Just go in directly off the parking lot and work your way toward the bridge and you'll see the little guys under boulders everywhere! Parking was $3 for day use. This is Whalen Island County Park.
